Basic Workflow

Tip

Quick Stock works right out the box but there’s a few settings you may want to adjust depending on your use case. .

Choose An Operation

Choose an operation, adjust quantity is the most common use case but you can move inventory between locations or states as well.

1. Select an Operation.

2. Choose the type of inventory being adjusted. Available inventory is the amount customers see when visiting your store. The other inventory types all fall under “Unavailable” inventory. This is inventory you have but are not selling.

3. You can select a reason for change. This does not impact the change directly but can be useful for analysing changes made.

4. The location where your change is being made.

5. Here you can scan or enter a barcode. On the Shopify mobile app there will be a button to open the camera.

6. You can manually search for a product if you cannot scan it.

Your product/variant must have the location activated to adjust or transfer inventory to it

Make inventory adjustments for your chosen inventory item

Use the next window to make adjustments to your inventory quantities.

• Use the plus and minus buttons to adjust quantity. These changes are only saved when pressing Save.

• Use the additional page actions where necessary, for example you may need to update the barcode. This happens immediately and not on Save.

Note

You’ll need to add your vendors in the settings to be able to change the vendor.
